چکیده
Abstract The amount of food waste due to the product expiration date is growing globally each year. Although expired loses its nutritional and safe edible value, it still offers great energy conversion value. In this study, pistachios were pyrolyzed gasified in a semi-batch reactor at temperatures 873–1223 K. gases components produced syngas analyzed using micro-gas chromatograph for yield, mass flowrates as well component calculated. CO2 consumption from gasification reaction different was also evaluated. Experimental results showed that yield pyrolysis CO2-assisted increased with in-reaction temperatures. Higher temperature resulted shorter time evolution peak value flowrate. During pyrolysis, increase 873 1223 K enhanced by 8.6 times 1.42 kJ/g 13.62 kJ/g. However, during gasification, 5.43 17.27 range 973–1173 pistachio samples temperature. 0.67 g/g, which 138 higher than 0.005 g/g 973 Furthermore, same (1223 K), 1.3 pyrolysis. Thus, promoted rate processes greenhouse gas (CO2). technology an effective pathway convert into clean sustainable energy.

Recovery of energy from MSW by combustion in Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants reduces land filling and air/water emissions, and also lessens dependence on fossil fuels for power generation. The objective of this study was to assess the potential of gasification processes as an alternative to the combustion of MSW. Gasification uses a relatively small amount of oxygen or water vapor to convert the o...
